Based in La Habana, Cuba, the CUARTETO AMADO MOZART of 3 highly talented Cuban musicians and 1 American performs the quartets of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and quartet member, Jorge Amado (La Habana, Cuba, 23 de octubre 1997).  Each quartet program seeks to juxtapose or highlight similar and different elements of European classical musical style with the Cuban Amado, and within the context of musical design, chronology and geo-political interests.  As the music of Mozart serves as an inspiration to today’s listener and performer, living composers such as Amado grasp Mozart’s techniques and gifts to expand and define their musical language to inspire a new generation of audiences.  Michael Dabroski (violin), Jorge Amado (composer/violin), Hugo Hidalgo (viola) and Amaya Justiz Robert (cello).
